Interviews

We will contact you by e-mail or by phone if you are selected for an interview with our program. Our interviews last two days and are typically scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

The itinerary for the first day includes a meeting and presentation with our residency director and department chairman, a view of the clinical and operative environments in action, and an afternoon tour of the city of Richmond, including housing options. The day ends with dinner with the faculty and residents, giving applicants the opportunity to get to know us in a relaxed environment.

Interviews are conducted on Saturday and are usually completed by early to mid afternoon. Candidates are welcome to come to VCU a day early or stay beyond the Saturday interviews to learn more about our program.

Candidates will be notified of their match at the end of January.
